Body gauge, coating and profile are set independently of diameter, which is why three-piece remains the workhorse format for edible oil, milk powder, tomato paste and paint. Every weld is 100% electronically tested with inline stripe repair.

Process Control on the Three-Piece Line

Sheet Preparation

Coil cut to sheet, coated and cured, then printed and varnished flat.

Rolling & Welding

Body rolled and welded; every seam electronically monitored 100%.

Seam Protection

Internal and external stripe applied and cured to protect the weld zone.

Flanging & Seaming

Beading, flanging and double seaming with compound-lined ends.

5

Leak Testing

Air-pressure leak detection on 100% of cans, plus AQL dimensional audit.
